Nikon D7000

Nikon's D7000 is first in a new range of mid-level DX-format DSLRs with the 16.2Mp CMOS sensor and Expeed 2 image-processing engine, enabling capture of high-definition images with superb image quality and high level of noise reduction. It offers many features in a compact magnesium alloy body with water and dust resistant joints. A 921k dot 3.0in LCD screen records 1080p24 full HD movies, and the camera features the Multi-CAM4800DX 39-point AF system with 3D tracking and 2,016 pixel RGB metering sensor. The D7000 is supplied with the 18-105mm VR kit lens.
The D-Movie function records high-definition video (1920x1080p, 24 fps), with autofocus via contrast-detect AF. With focus mode set to Full time-servo AF (AF-F) and the AF-area mode to Subject-tracking AF, the camera maintains focus on a subject moving through the frame in three dimensions. The D7000 also offers in-camera movie editing functions. Recording of stereo sound via an external microphone is also supported.
